0% Party 100% Patriot
I was raised in a Democrat family. I had Democrat parents, Democrat aunts and uncles, Democrat grandparents. Growing up I couldn’t tell you why we were Democrats anymore than I could explain why we were Catholic. We just were. I remember in Government class, while a senior in high school, taking a “political assessment test” to gauge where my political allegiances fell. I remember being greatly disappointed to find that my political convictions proved right of center, not Democrat! PFFT, Whatever! I was a Democrat darn it! That was 1990. And then came Clinton in 1992... yep, I’m a Republican… it’s now 1996.
Republican, Democrat, there used to be a difference. There used to be a clear “party line”. Whether I understood them growing up or not, I definitely did as an adult in the ‘90s. In the last decades, however, the “parties” are one in the same, and they seek one thing only, control.
Studying our Founding Fathers in recent years I have found that my growing disdain for “parties” was shared by many of them. They were aware of the dangers of factions, as they described them, and their desires for power at the cost of the citizen’s liberties.
James Madison in the Federalists papers number ten wrote, “ Complaints are everywhere heard from our most considerate and virtuous citizens,… that our governments are too unstable, that the public good is disregarded in the conflicts of rival parties, and that measures are too often decided, not according to the rules of justice and the rights of the minor party, but by the superior force of an interested and overbearing majority.” He continued with, “When a majority is included in a faction, the form of popular government, on the other hand, enables it to sacrifice to its ruling passion or interests both the public good and the rights of other citizens.”.
Washington also gave warnings in regards to parties and understood them to be a “cause which may disturb our Union”. He states so poignantly, “They serve to organize faction; to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common councils and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”. Reading the quotes from Washington and Madison it’s hard to determine if they are speaking of their time or ours. They were very wise in their warnings. Unity in the Republic, the preservation of the Constitution, the protection of liberties of the citizens, these were their highest concerns and their cause for many of their sacrifices.
They were 0% Party and 100% Patriots. Their loyalties were to their country and their countrymen.
After many years of disappointment, discouragement and disillusionment from Party Establishment and loyalist, I have separated myself from any party affiliation. I search now for the Patriot. Due to the fact that our nation is currently divided into “parties”, I am forced to sift through the sludge to find the Constitutionalists wearing a party cloak, but there are some out there. Finding the true patriots and making sure we remove the ones seeking their own power and interests is the most affective means of moving towards restoring our Republic.
Breaking party loyalty may be found difficult for some, but one must remember it is the Constitution that makes us unique as a nation, and our Constitution knows no party. It is 0% Party and 100% Patriot.
Stand Across America is an event created to unite Patriots coast to coast to take a Stand for our Constitution. It is an event created to be a profound impact on DC, accessible to all Americans to make their voice heard, and to be stepping stone in the restoration of our nation. Commit to stand on April 26, 2014 @ noon for our Constitution!

WHY...
From "Sing A Little Louder" by Penny Lea: "A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning we would hear the whistle from the distance and then the clacking of the wheels moving over the track. We became disturbed when one Sunday we noticed cries coming from the train as it passed by. We grimly realized that the train was carry-ing Jews. They were like cattle in those cars!
"Week after week that train whistle would blow. We would dread to hear the sound of those old wheels because we knew that the Jews would begin to cry to us as they passed our church. It was so terribly disturbing! We could do nothing to help these poor miserable people, yet their screams tormented us. We knew exactly at what time that whistle would blow, and we decided the only way to keep from being so disturbed by the cries was to start singing our hymns. By the time the train came rumbling past the church yard, we were singing at the top of our voices. If some of the screams reached our ears, we'd just sing a little louder until we could hear them no more. Years passed and no one talks about it much anymore, but I still hear that train whistle in my sleep. I can still hear them crying out for help. G-d forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians, yet did nothing to intervene."
The first question in anyone's mind once hit with the knowledge of the Holocaust is, "How could that happen and no one stop it?". How does something so evil, so diabolical have the ability to come to fruition? The warning signs were there both politically and socially, and their leaders made their intentions known. For years the signals were there, and yet it was able to occur in fullness of horror. How?? As quoted by Edmund Burke, "All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." And so it was then... towns and churches filled with "good men" singing louder and doing NOTHING!
I am not a political expert, historian, or activist, but over the last decade I have taken to paying attention to the operations and schemes of those sent to represent us in DC. I have been disappointed, to say it in the kindest of terms, repeatedly by those that "represent" me time and time again. What disturbs me the most is their arrogance that "they" know best and our Constitution seems to be an unimportant historical document that should not constrain their efforts in governing us (mind you We are to govern THEM).
The signs of our liberties being not only infringed upon, but stripped from us are overwhelming. Our freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, privacy, arms, sovereignty, are being attacked and suppressed by numerous means of regulations, executive orders, treaties (eg; NAU, Convention for Rights of the Child, Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities, UN Arms Treaty...) and "Acts" (eg: Patriot Act, ACA, NDAA, Dream Act..). We are at a crucial point in our nation where America is in jeopardy of no longer being the "Land of the Free".
I have been asked many times why we started Stand Across America for WE THE PEOPLE to make a strong stand for our Constitution. My answer is this: I can not look my children in the eye each day, knowing what I see take place in our nation each day, and not do this. I see America DYING, and I can not bare the thought of my kids reaching adulthood and not having Liberty. If I do nothing I have to answer for that when Liberty is lost. Short answer, I love my kids too much not to!"
Germans from the Nazi era have a history to answer for that I have No desire in sharing the experience of. I will Not just SING LOUDER!
